I made dry curry with root vegetables and ground pork. This time as well, I used a santoku knife to cut the vegetables. The santoku knife, which is popular in Japan, is a versatile kitchen knife named for the fact that it can be used for three (san) purposes (toku). As the knife's name suggests, it can be used to cut any kind of vegetables, meat, or fish. In Japan, where even people at home make Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes on a daily basis, such knives are indispensable. Because santoku knives are somewhat smaller than chef's knives, they're especially popular in Japan for home use and with people who cook a lot of vegetables, and customers elsewhere in the world who use them find them especially suitable for such purposes as well.Santoku knife is second one from the last.Santoku knives also make it easy to prepare hard vegetables such as burdock. When it comes to curry vegetables and the like, I chop them into somewhat large chunks to preserve the texture. You can also use soybeans, chickpeas, or something similar instead of ground meat to prepare a vegetarian dish. And if you happen to have some Japanese miso when you do so, I definitely recommend trying it out as a secret ingredient. Miso will add a sort of richness and savoriness to the food to give it a rich taste even if you don't use meat. Because depth of taste is emphasized for Japanese cuisine, when cooking at home, it's quite common to add just a bit of miso or soy sauce even to Western-style cooking to bring out some of that distinctive Japanese taste. The last things I added to my curry were tomatoes and celery, and I fried everything together to finish a refreshing dish perfect for summer. Our OEM-Japanese kitchen knives concentrates on Design, Material and Sharpness. We will provide with outstanding quality of products for making your private brand. How about to make your original label knives with your logo and sell them in your knife shop or your restaurant? Please feel free to contact us!!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Looking for some Japanese knives? Our OEM-Japanese kitchen knives concentrates on Design, Material and Sharpness. It's the season for chilled Chinese noodles!
It's the season for chilled Chinese noodles!
I always think, "Ah, summer has begun!" once I start to see posters for them at Ramen eateries.
Chilled noodle dishes are a summertime favorite.
An ample harvest of summer vegetables from the garden was a perfect opportunity to make chilled Chinese noodles. Tomatoes, cucumbers, snap peas, and I also added mint from my garden.
Using a high quality, sharp knife makes it a breeze to finely slice ripe and juicy tomatoes.
With chilled Chinese noodles, it's important to top them with plenty of colorful vegetables, enough to completely cover the noodles.
Even if the summer heat stifles your appetite, this colorful, refreshing dish can perk it right back up again.

Newest spot in Tokyo. GINZA SIX
I went to Tokyo’s new shopping spot, GINZA SIX which is a hot topic now. 241 brands are gathered and you can enjoy shopping in a refined space.
Of course, many high brands of the world are opened, but for customers coming from overseas, please enjoy shopping unique Japanese products together with Tokyo sightseeing!
The grand opening has been celebrated with the latest installations of the avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, the best known Japanese artists in the world. Her art many features polka dots and nets as major themes and pumpkins as the motif. Many people have taken pictures with smartphones.
Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten
Focusing on Japanese craft, their base for production, they’ve selected higher quality goods in material and technique from the proud products. For the gift wrapping, they offer Japanese traditional “Origata” using washi paper and cord knot. You can see some kitchen knives of Tsubame Sanjo (Our comany is in Tsubame sanjo) here.
Tsujiri
After tiring with shopping, we recommend the food area of the basement floor. Tsujiri is a sweet shop with a reputation for Matcha’s sweets.
In addition to souvenirs such as cakes, Matcha soft cream available on the bench in front of the store and Matcha Float are very popular.
If you are looking for Japanese traditional crafts and popular cutlery, Please contact us! We will support shopping!

Rice planting season in Japan
This season, when the weather turns warm, is known by farmers as rice planting season. Since we have rice fields in Niigata, we can be seen busily taking advantage of Golden Week and the weekends to plant rice. After the autumn harvest, the dry fields are flooded, creating a beautifully serene scene as the spring sunlight shines on the surface of the water. The majority of harvesting and planting is done by machine, but in areas that are inaccessible to machines, planting is done by hand. Because of this, working family members, other relatives, and children all work together to plant the rice.

Festivals are held in many places to pray for a delicious rice harvest, and for nature's blessing that crops will not be spoiled by cool winters or typhoons.
Come Japan to see the beautiful spring season!

Carp streamer festival in Japan
In Japan, there is a long holiday in May called "Golden Week." It is made up of several consecutive holidays, such as "Constitutional Memorial Day" and "Children's Day", and when it falls during the right time of the week, can make for a full nine days off for some companies. Taking advantage of this long break, many people visit their parents' homes or travel either domestically or abroad, flooding highways and airports. On Children's Day, to celebrate the growth of boys, "Koi Nobori" (Carp Streamers) are hung up in various places. A unique Japanese custom, these Koi streamers, made from beautifully decorated cloth, are flown in the sky, symbolizing the vitality of the Japanese Koi fish. These beautiful decorations are not only displayed in the yards of private residences; In order to lift community spirits, in all locales, myriad Koi are hung up across large rivers, creating a magnificent brightly colored display.
